چکیده
An inverse scattering problem (ISP) for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data in application to through-the-wall imaging is addressed. In contrast with the conventional algorithms of SAR imaging, which work linearized mathematical model based on Born approximation, fully nonlinear case considered here. To avoid local minima problem, so-called “convexification” globally convergent inversion scheme applied approximate distribution slant range (SR) plane a function that associated dielectric constant. It demonstrated this estimates quite well both value constant and location target. The benchmark scene article comprises homogeneous wall different targets hidden behind it. results comprise 2-D images SR interest. Numerical are obtained by proposed method computationally simulated experimental data. Our show values, cross-range sizes, locations constants close those real targets. comparison solution ISP provided commonly used shows significantly better accuracy our results.

Microwave Imaging Using SAR
Polarimetric Synthetic Aperture Radar (Pol.-SAR) allows us to implement the recognition and classification of radar targets. This article investigates the arrangement of scatterers by SAR data and proposes a new Look-up Table of Region (LTR). This look-up table is based on the combination of (entropy H/Anisotropy A) and (Anisotropy A/scattering mechanism α), which has not been reported up now. ...
متن کاملOn SAR Imaging through the Earth's Ionosphere
We analyze the effect of dispersion of radio waves in the Earth’s ionosphere on the performance (image resolution) of spaceborne synthetic aperture radars (SARs). We describe the electromagnetic propagation in the framework of a scalar model for the transverse field subject to weak anomalous dispersion due to the cold plasma. Random contributions to the refraction index are accounted for by the...
متن کاملRobotic Through-Wall Imaging
The overall goal of this paper is to present the new possibilities created at the intersection of robotic path planning and inverse scattering for through-wall imaging with everyday RF signals. More specifically, we are interested in the throughwall imaging of a completely unknown space using unmanned vehicles and with everyday RF transceivers. We first focus on robotic through-wall imaging bas...
متن کاملThrough - Wall Imaging Radar
Knock and announce missions occur frequently on the urban battlefield. It would be advantageous to locate all of the humans inside an urban structure and obtain a "head count" prior to action. For this reason, we developed a through-wall radar sensor capable of locating moving targets through concrete-walled structures and of displaying the results (in range versus cross range) at a video frame...
متن کاملAn Improved Time-Reversal-Based Target Localization for Through-Wall Microwave Imaging
Recently, time reversal (TR) method, due to its high functionality in heterogeneous media has been widely employed in microwave imaging (MI) applications. One of the applications turning into a great interest is through-wall microwave imaging (TWMI). In this paper, TR method is applied to detect and localize a target obscured by a brick wall using a numerically generated data. Regarding this, i...
